29 Weeks

The title of this post should be: Why does water give me heartburn?

Things are still truckin along. I got a phone call last night telling me that our furniture is ready to be picked up. Oh Shit!

This evening (and maybe tomorrow and/or Friday if this new Snownami shows up), I am going to start gathering my craft things together and move them down to the basement. It’s cold down there, so I’m reluctant to move… but it’s worth it!

The good: The baby had hiccups again last night during the ski-cross. M couldn’t really feel them, but I could. I’m still getting nervous when I don’t feel a lot of movement, but whenever I sit still and have some food, it starts up again.

The bad: Hip pain sucks, but it goes away if I change position. I’m waking up in the middle of the night for hours and feeling wide awake. Everyone says this is practice for the baby. I think those people are full of S. I spend the time awake either planning my work day (which does not help at all) or thinking about a little yellow nursery with new furniture (which does help).

Also, I'm frickin STARVING.

The Ugly: Heartburn all over the place. Heartburn after breakfast. Heartburn at 3 am. Heartburn after ice cream.

I have been very lucky with the heartburn this time around. I think the small meals are helping. I still do get it, but I remember I had bad hb with my first to the point where water was coming back up. Not fun.

Your starving? Hehe. Eat then!! I wish I could eat!!

Call your OB about the heartburn . . . mine lets me have a Pri.losec every other day, which has helped. I also found the ice cream and milk helped, but sounds like it hasn't with yours (still, I liked the excuse to eat the ice cream!) Sleeping with yourself semi-propped up may also help a bit with the heartburn.

You really are crusing there, sistah! Everytime I read a new "____ weeks" update from you I am like "Wow, is she really already at _____ weeks?!" - yeah, I am surprised at someone else, LMAO?!

Hear ya, feel ya, right there with ya on the insomnia thing. No cures for ya there, 'cept maybe to go sleep somewhere else in the house or watch t.v.

Hip pain . . I had it baaaad from about weeks 16-28, then it went away on it's own. You might want to consider seeing a chiroprator who treats pregnant women (my husband does - if you need recommendation for someone in your area let me know).

Ms. J - I think the same thing about your pregnancy. Yours seems like it's flying by and mine is going so slow. How can we possibly be in the same time zone?

Yay, 29 weeks!! I've been getting the hip/back pain because of lying down so much - it sucks!! I hope that it goes away for you. I just love your updates - I just can't believe how soon it is. Can't wait to see pictures of the nursery!

I can totally relate to the heartburn. I have been having it since 10 weeks!! When I told my friends they said, Oh Wow! And it only get's worse. For me it has gotten a little worse but it's been pretty bad since the beginning. Some days for some reason are worse than others. I mean sometimes cereal or a pop tart can give me indigestion!!! Crazy!!
Can't wait to see pics of the furniture!
